I'm having problems getting staffed and I'm on the beach, I'm a recent new hire. I start paternity leave in November so it seems that everyone is staying away. I split my paternity leave as that's...

...the guidance I was given. But now everyone wants to staff me after I come back. Oh yeah the beach is packed. I learned a lot, built my network, and own/participate in some key initiatives. Any guidance appreciated. I want to take paternity leave. Didn't do it for my first kid and I regret it.

I recognize that this is really easy for me to say, but prioritize this special time with your baby and take the leave as you are entitled to. So cliche but so true, you’ll never get this time back. I love what this job allows me to do in providing for my family but it certainly has given me some regrets about absent times with my kids as well.

Thanks appreciate it

You’re doing the right thing. We have to flex as organizations to make this happen for new dads. Make sure you’re staying involved with activities before your paternity leave so there isn’t any reason to let you go before then.

Do we know if there is a sponsoring partner that oversees this benefit/ program that I could have more of a heart to heart conversation with? Not getting too far with the general email box and admin contact. However, anything related to IVF or medical procedures has to go through insurance (also limited to $50k lifetime benefit). Continued…

Hey all, this is regarding Audible. I already did the pre interview call, assessment, technical phone interview with director and now am invited for the (I believe final) on-site virtual interview for a quality assurance engineer I role. Does anyone have any tips or is able to chat about their experience? They said to block off the whole day as it is around 4 hours with a panel.

Thanks

Interviewed for a sr. PM last Thursday. Was scheduled for 30min but we went to an hour and had a really good conversation. The questions I got asked I was told the answers were perfect by the hiring manager. I felt really good coming out of it but then followed up with an email thanking them for the time the next day and I never received a response or next steps. Am I thinking too much into it or is it not a good sign?

I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!
