I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

IT audit position in Denver! DM me for more info
Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

I'm in the same boat as you and I just can't get excited about internal audit. I feel like it narrows the exit opportunities for making lots of money.
3 years of experience I’m promoted to S2.
Why not try a financial reporting or senior GL accountant role
Yes I’m looking into it. Mainly financial reporting role for a fund. But I’m afraid it will just be a lot of work as well since it’s on the other side of audit. I’ve also looked into FP&A or other hybrid roles (portfolio analyst etc) out of curiosity.
I wouldn't do IA. I am incredibly happy I got OUT of that job lol. Good pay/hours but you're only marketable for IA/compliance roles, which are incredibly dull... It's a good job if you don't care about career progression and just need a paycheck.
Yeah got it haha thanks
There’s still career advancement for IA it’s just different? Accounting would lead to controller while IA would progress to director of IA but of course there are fewer quality IA positions available given that you would have to join a large public it extremely large private company to fund a strong IA team
I’m in IA now but also spent 1.5 years in fund accounting. Both offer career progression, but very different types of careers. I found fund accounting to be very repetitive and hours were on average the same as in public except they were consist year round as opposed to having a peak busy season and a chiller summer.
This is really helpful thanks. If I can find 9-5 that would be perfect. It definitely makes sense that you have to work longer hours during quarter ends and financial reporting.
