I’m in the process of going back-and-forth with American Insurance Group and I feel like I’m being played. They come across really interested and get my hopes up and now they want me to have my resume tailor made by one of their résumé reviewers for a cost of $100-$200. There’s just something about this in my gut that tells me I’m being played and I’m trying to get some assurances from them that if I spend the money I’ll get an inside track on interviewing. Has anyone else had this experience

Yeah, I threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau and lo and behold, crickets. It is so discouraging to go through something like this.

Instead of going through all the trouble like this, I prefer making use of reverse recruiting instead. And it has been very converting for me, this is my 4th job I'd secure making use of service like this. One of the service and most recent I do make use of is this https://www.fiverr.com/s/P283jXG

Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. My aunt passed away suffering from cancer last year and didn’t have her own kids. I was there by her side throughout her battle. I still wish I had done more, made her life easier. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.

Hello my fellow shoal of fish. I am seeking recommendations for a lounge chair in my office. I currently have the adjustable stand desk and a relatively comfortable office chair (not when reclining) but the other half of my office is empty. Im putting in a 55” tv and need a recliner, lounge chair, or something of the sorts to put in front of the tv. Something where i can put my feet up. Conference calls are such a drag when i have to sit at my desk.
