Hey BCG 🐠, undergrad here. Would anyone be willing to provide a referral for Associate Consultant Intern position?
I think one of the underrated reasons the market is trading is algorithms and sentiment analysis. People say they’ve never seen a market like this which is true but tech plays a bigger role than we expect. Many firms literally pick up Bloomberg terminal headlines and electronically buy or sell as a result. This creates higher volume in the market and leads to higher equity prices
I have 3 years of experience in growth strategy, market entry, corporate strategy, and transformation. I am planning to apply for big4 firms. I came across in their websites that, most of the roles belong to tech domains. Looking to connect with people from the following services and possibly an internal referral. Deloitte - Strategy & Business Design, Operations KPMG - Strategy & Operations EY - Strategy & Transactions, EY-Parthenon Consulting PwC - Corporate Strategy, Operations
With vision 2020 coming to nothing, will EY cut down annual raise? Feel like EY is being cheaper recently.

I know everyone has worked on “burn and churn” accounts but when did you know it was time to leave/ how did you leave? Backstory: since the get go we have had a long sprints, a terrible account manager, and a cd who won’t support us or advocate for us. We are burnt out but when we raise our hand we just get yelled at and told everyone is dealing with this. How do we escape?
Anyone from Microsoft who has non FS federal positions in technical manager position of senior developer roles around Reston area? I had couple of interviews but they wanted FS and I don't want to get it... thanks
Anyone knows how the coding interviews levels are compared to each other across Adobe, Amazon, Facebook, LinkedIn, Microsoft and Google for a data scientist role? Any insights?
I want to understand why was Arthur Anderson kicked out of the audit business. I know they played a major part in the Enron scandal. But still these days we are seeing scandals happening. Someday we see EY name popping (Wirecard) KPMG or some other Big 4 but we still hold a strong position in the market. Then why didn't Arthur Anderson in accounting and audit business especially what I have learnt that it was largest among the big 5 at that time?
Would you go from a brand name consulting company to a boutique. Assume the raise is going to be about $40k in base, firm won't match. Would also have to move from a low cost city to New York City.
Has anyone in the WPP network been promised a promotion/raise and then suffered through the annual Q4 “cash push” freeze? Did you finally get it in Q1? If so, when? Was it worth the wait?
I just finished my last round of interviews for Consultant role at Slalom. I live in a metropolitan area and have 5+ years of non-traditional experience but with skill sets they really need. What base pay should I expect/is fair? Also did anyone negotiate full-time remote? Slalom Consulting
Former Forte Fellows: Did the fellowship provide you with benefits other than the scholarship money? Did you have access to resources that you wouldn’t have access to if you didn’t have the dellowship
Has anyone taken lessons at GolfTEC or a golf store (golf galaxy, pga superstore)? I typically play in the mid 80s but can’t get into the 70s. Looking for lessons to improve and get a little more consistent.
What do you think are the best ways to build a positive culture amongst an existing creative team where there may already be some negative feelings? any ideas on how to turn it around?
How does anyone make transition into PM if the current company/industry I am in does not have this opportunity? I really want to make this move but it seems like other posts are against taking courses/MBA to make this transition. Help!
Got a big raise in salary from getting promoted to senior but still below industry average pay? 🙄
Ladies - I'm recruiting for a couple of positions and would love to encourage POC applicants. One is for an a/c supervisor role working predominantly on the Nike account for an agency based in Portland (not W+K). Must have email marketing chops and be up for mentoring and coaching a team. PM or email me at my other job? THANK YOU. I'm also looking for a sr. market researcher who must have extensive experience in market sizing. Great jobs, six figure salaries, benefits etc.
Recently the yt people on my project have become so intolerable... I used to at least fake laugh at their jokes and now I’m straight faced from 8am - 6pm everyday. Anyone else dealing with this?
🐟... how do you help change team culture from HIERARCHY to team collaboration? Especially when the “leadership” on the team thinks the answer is to dictate improvement to non leadership
Deloitte folks, is it too late for a referral if I've already submitted an application to a specific job opening?
Ugh. Democrats will see this as obvious proof that many conservatives are conspiracy theorists that have lost their minds, conservatives will see this as proof the deep state exists and that this dude fought it with inside information. Or proof that you can be fired for "conservative views..." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/09/21/nih-william-crews-covid-19-fraud-retire-anthony-fauci/5860559002/
Seriously? NBC 5 is interrupting Tonight Show for three interviews with Cubs fans at random bars. WTF. People interested in the Cubs were watching the game anyway...
Passed over for a promotion a third time, even after doing everything, and more, you’re supposed to? It’s time to GTFO
I have been working in HR since 2004. I have a bachelor's degree but it is not in HR, it's in a medical/technical field. My entire career in HR has been on the job training and I have worked besides people with HR degrees doing the same things they do. What extra skills do you think your HR degree gives you that you wouldn't have without the degree?
What steps do you all take to prepare for layoffs (outside of an updated resume)? I’m not really expecting layoffs within my practice (fin services), but want to be prepared so that if it does happen I’m not spending months looking for a job.
CSR card holders: are the 1.5x travel redemptions actually good options for travel? Considering it but I can go with regional bank cc and elect 3x pts on dining as well
If you qualify for or want to apply to multiple positions at a single company on Linked In, do you apply individually to each position? Reach out to the poster? Pick best fit and only apply to one?
If your team is working from home, do you check their Skype and ping them every now and then to make sure they are not leaving their desk? I don’t like it when people are not immediately available.
