I’m interviewing for an internal role soon. It’s a panel format, and they’re interviewing all candidates on the same day with a 24-hour turnaround. Since they might even decide that afternoon, is it worth sending a thank-you email? Sending one immediately feels a bit desperate, but waiting until the next day might be too late, right? How would you handle this?

I would send a thank you email if you really want the job. It can be short but add a small meaningful detail.

If it's a role you really want, you can send a short message to them soon after your interview. Send your thank-you email within 24 hours of your interview. Keep it concise (under 100 words) and use it to reiterate your interest, reference a specific topic discussed to show you were actively listening, and highlight how your skills solve their current team challenges.

I see this question about how to display side projects often, so putting this out there for anyone who might find it useful:

There’s no such thing as side projects, in my eyes. Every project is an opportunity to display your creativity, and the few you’re most proud of make it to your book. Generally, the consensus these days is that we want our advertising to not look/feel like advertising. So, why should you be concerned to separate what was and wasn’t “advertising?”

The other guy just says he likes paying for my stuff and there’s no agenda. Is this a little weird?

I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. Any suggestions how to handle the credit card debt without racking up tons of ongoing card interest?

I am just unsure whether to accept the offer as I was waiting for kpmg reply as I want B4 on my resume which apparently is a big deal. Is BT also good on resume for future employers ??

Anyone hiring those who have been out of work for a year? I took time off to tend to personal matters, but I am now looking to get back into the workforce again. My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I don’t mind audit. However, I’d prefer it not to be at a B4, as I am looking for some semblance of a work life balance.

DM me if you have something above, thanks.
