I feel this so much and I hope the best for you. I am also looking for the same reasons. In most states they can’t ask you what you currently make, it’s illegal. They can ask you what your salary expectations are. I usually put “negotiable” or if it requires numbers, I will put zeros in so that we can have that conversation. When they ask, I turn the question on them and ask “What is the salary range for this position ?”
Best of luck to you!
Just say you are leaving because the culture no longer fit your growth and expectations. You want to learn new skills and feel appreciated. Yea you don’t need to disclose your salary. Just ask for their range and say it is within your expectations.
I recently have been through the same thing. Thankfully the manager left the company. I immediately felt better and didn’t dread going to work. Anxiety down and able to sleep much better. A bad environment really affects everything about a person.
Come to Travelers. It is a much better culture.
