Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Herman Miller is fantastic. Comfy, durable, infinitely adjustable. You can likely find a discount
I have a gaming chair from Racing. Not a Herman Miller but quite comfortable. Offices often get rid of old inventory and there's plenty of sites that sell those HM chairs for < $500. Check em out
Herman Miller specific to your height and weight. Once adjusted you can sit for hours without pain. Well worth the investment.
I got an X3 from healthy back store. Like a Herman Miller Aeron, but adds a headrest option. Great chair. Not cheap though, around $900.
I bought one of the amazon chairs 2 years ago and now wish I had spring for the HM chair to start with. FYI you can use your well being subsidy on the chair
After experiencing back pain from the IKEA Markus, I found a gently used Herman Miller Aeron on eBay at a very steep discount. I would recommend this to anyone seeking an office chair.
Deloitte has an employee discount with steelcase, still expensive but as good or better than HM (depending on the models you compare)
Herman Miller all the way
A bit sketch, but I found a good Herman Miller on Craigslist for a great price. Might be a bit more work to find it and get it cleaned, but you’ll still probably get it at a 60% discount
A good chair is an excellent long lasting investment. I recommend the Herman Miller Embody chair.
Thanks everyone!
