In case you are worried about the economy/ being laid off here are my steps to limit worry about being laid off.
1) I’m very good at my job
2) I have 6 months of expenses saved
3) I never stop attending networking events / keep a contact list of 45 recruiters ready in case of unexpectedly lay off.

(I've been a marketing professional for over 10 years). I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?
