I’m part of NYPD but work hours are too long and the city is so huge that there’s always something going on. I’d rather have a more laid-back role. Are there any police forces in another state that could better fit this description?

Three job interviews with a company, last one creating a marketing plan and presenting to marketing VP. I received good feedback from him. Three days later recruiter wants to give me a call and “give an update”. Schedules it after 2 days. This morning cancels last minute as they are having “internal discussions”. I get $3200 in rent for a condo that I have $3600 monthly costs on (mortgage, property taxes, HOA fees). Although I put in $400, I make about $1400 a month in equity (15 year mortgage). Property is worth about $470k and I have $200k in equity. Make sense to keep or sell?

My two year anniversary of starting my career (in general) is coming up in the next 3 weeks.

Aug 2020- 65k base salary
Jan 2022- 80k base salary
July/Aug 2022- 110k base salary

Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.
