In the 80s, I think the “top” jobs were IBM, Xerox, HP etc
I will admit I didn’t know what Consulting was when I interned in 2006.

It paid better adjusting for inflation and cost of living. They weren’t anywhere near as big today. Only my banking friends in NYC made more.

80s, you went to law school. 90s started tech. Consulting is much bigger now. The market for consulting has just exposed and such they are recruiting much more. Now the demand exceeds the supply. Want like that in the 80s 90s or 2000s. I knew people who wanted to become consultants and couldn't get a job in it. Not the case now
