Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Not to be a jerk, but how would anyone know what your firm’s reimbursement policy is?
I agree, that’s why I’m asking what it typically is at most firms

Sorry, but no one here is going to know. It varies by firm. My firm reimburses specific purchases (can be right before or after the start date) up to $500. Some firms just give $500 as part of your paycheck. The $500 will likely cover a desk but you will have to see the policy to know for sure.
Thank you, that’s helpful. My old firm didn’t have any such policy so that’s why I’m new to this
Ask recruiting or an associate you interviewed with!
Just name the firm and people can help better
Ask HR. Ask an associate. Ask your recruiter. There is no "typical" policy. That said, highly dubious they'd cover expenses incurred before you even joined the firm unless they just give you $500 as part of paycheck.

You should just ask
My firm just gave this to me with my first paycheck. No receipts, no limits on what it could be used for, or anything like that. But this is really firm-specific so you're better off just asking.
