Had my first egg retrieval a few weeks ago. Still trying to comprehend what happened. All my ultrasounds and blood work came back perfect. In the end, I had 30 follicles and they were only able to retrieve 3 eggs. Our embryologist said my egg quality was very poor and one had been dead for a long time. None of my tests ever indicated any issues. I have tested my egg reserve twice and everything came back normal. Any thoughts/advice? I’m really at a loss for words.

Was at dinner with my mom yesterday and we got into an argument about me not wanting to tell her how much my salary is. I’m totally empathetic to people that miss offices and traveling. I understand your reasons why, I truly do.

For me personally, after non-stop weekly travel for 4 straight years, not traveling has made me realize how much I enjoy being home. Spending time with family, sleeping in your own bed, consistent exercise schedule, etc.

I for one hope consulting becomes more of a hybrid travel model (i.e. travel 1-2x per month or as needed). Else it won’t be for me.
