Chase sapphire reserve. Best w chase bank. Best for all the rewards

So 300 of travel credit (normal for Uber, metro, flights, hotel - but now groceries too(. Effective 250. 100 for global entry and tsa pre. Effective 150. 60 bucks doordash credit. Effective 90. 120 peloton credit. Effective -30 dollars. 3x points and the sign up bonus speak for itself
+1 on the reserve (assuming you’re talking about the preferred), the $450 is really only a $150 with the 300 grocery/travel credit. You pay ~$60 more but you get 1.5x points value compared to the sapphire preferred 1.25x. Also gives you access to priority pass lounges & so much other stuff.
I believe a lot of people are getting 100 knocked off the annual fee due to covid — you should look into it!
+1 on reserve.
The 3x bonus now applies to groceries ever since the pandemic begun and they keep extending the promotion, looks like they will continue until the pandemic ends.
They also allow you to redeem for groceries and dining out at the same rate as redeeming for travel dollars, throughout the pandemic.
Very thoughtful programs, imo. Never missed a beat since the lockdown... all without asking for it! Excellent service.
Chase sapphire
+1 for reserve
I’ve had it for a year and they renewed this year at $450, not $550 for me. With the $300 travel credit (now could be spent on grocery and travel) you’re really paying $150. Also a $60 DoorDash credit (plus free delivery) to be spent on any restaurants per year which brings it down to $90 per year.
The consensus seems to be for reserve. Haha! You should really look into it. I really do like how proactive they are without us asking for anything - for a travel card, they were willing to open up towards non-travel perks in COVID.
Amex isn't as nice.
Chase!! Gold hs nothing on sapphire
For more context, here is my current situation as it pertains to these two credit cards;
American Express Gold: Delta has extended a “special offer” to me which combines the Amex gold and Skymiles. This offer rewards me with a lot of travel points/benefits (which I like) and decreases the annual fee on the card to $99 ($0 for the first year) from the $250 if I were to get it directly from Amex.
Chase Sapphire: the travel perks are decent as well, the annual fee is $95 and I have chase as my bank. Those are the only things I’ve got going in favour of this card.
In this situation
I would recommend Amex.
Your bonus miles/points would cover up with chase preferred initial bonus points.
Assuming you were talking about chase preferred by $95 fee.
Chase sapphire is the best!! I’ve had it for 3 years now and the perks are amazing! Plus if you sign up through this referral link, you get $200 and I get $100!! https://e.chase.com/T/v60000017721cd0483bf471b6e96638858/76018371c2f24d590000021ef3a0bcc2/76018371-c2f2-4d59-8861-982a5be3b0d5?__F__=v0fUYvjHMDjRPMSh3tviDHXIoXcPxvDgUUCCPvXMWoX_0JoZLAZABQF5mpMDVYup6cUHCziGgRJ2s2PlL0RJkYfE2rhRbWqdxUrpoudS1R8RsrrZ6A8sOcsryJ4IZm5TRCO6qkN-cjeKZPSei4wQ_PY0yeMaT_A5lMUwPIartenKvfp07yZU5SSRqQsz5aNPr7FQGK1UO87aHrl9V1XUMnjK8L4KYZhC3uuzDWxdtpoifilCoBUTgaWjkhCUTGOdaPwXKiQrUBjKs54d6GgNJ9qiuvQ96nBE4mXCg7sU9-IBi_iZS5tDC5bBoyImT4S32_
