I’m working with an AP who I’ve worked with a long time - he still always says that I’m “over reacting” or “freaking out” on things when I feel I’m very clearly calm and legitimately wanting to discuss to learn and understand. What can I do to get him to stop having this impression of me?

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

27 y/o manager and having what feels like a quarter life crisis. The consulting grind feels unsustainable for me long term, but I don’t know what else I would even want to do. Problem is that I have a great WLB (probably actually working <30 hours/week) and making decent money - feels like it would be silly to leave, but the monotony of dealing with idiots on a daily basis is taking a mental toll. Anyone else?

How do I become an MBB employee? Is it possible to gain experience at big 4+ACN and then get referred in??

At what point do you draw the line on WLB? Working insane hours on a long/term project with what feels like no end in sight. It’s not sustainable but clearly expected. Could you get fired for drawing lines in the sand and saying (example) “come 8:30 every night I’m logging off”. That’s a 65 hour work week as-is but I currently am up until midnight working consistently. For context I’ve been rated as a strong performer consistently and am not new to the job so it’s not a lack of understanding.
