Left B4 after SM promo and I was a high performer. Now on the other side I feel like Im lacking operations experience, feeling unsure about tech accounting (B4 had a lot of resources that we could rely on) and overwhelmed by the politics between finance/accounting/biz ops🥹

Comp is better (60k increase in base comp) but I honestly feel like a scam… did I leave public too late?

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
