It will depend on your technical round feedback - if feedback is negative, salary expectation does not matter. Better strategy is to quote a negotiable number. Usually if co wants to hire you, they will negotiate for sure. Thats your hint.
Make sense - take a junior role with less salary - build on your technical knowledge and then switch to bigger roles……
