In Miami for a unique experience - a one-year contract! 🌴 While I love my view and how this city feels so far, I'm super homesick already and I guess the only way to shake it out is to make some friends here. What do you think is the best way to connect with new people in this city? Is it the usual 'go to a bar' or does Miami do things a bit differently?

How do married folks manage finances ..keep them separate or everything common? Have heard married people splitting rent and stuff and not sure I fully understand how common are situations like that.

Any books that you found very helpful to read as expecting parents? We’re just nine weeks along, but would love to start preparing however we can!

I’ve learned recently about some traumatic events that family members of mine have gone through but I had no idea had occurred. Besides my parents divorcing I really have not experienced that many hardships or trauma in my life. My wife is incredibly stressed out and unhappy in her career. It’s been affecting our marriage significantly. I just had a conversation with her where I asked her to stay home and I said I’ll fully support her. It seems like she took it well.

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?

Well, I was the one who broke it off. I couldn’t get him to love me the way I needed or even respect me enough. It’s been 6 weeks of not seeing each other. We messaged this week. He doesn’t get it…. His messages show he still doesn’t know what he wants. Yet, if I am totally honest, I hate how part of me wishes he would do a grand gesture/finally decide to be a better man. It’s delusional. It’s crazy how love can be so rosy, sweet & blinding that the red flags seem surmountable.

I don’t understand how someone can lie about loving you for 6 months. We were together for almost a year (broke up a week before our anniversary). I said I love you first and he said it back. I asked for more reassurance last month with saying I love you more often. Now all of a sudden he said he didn’t know if he loved me and that love meant marriage for him. Okay well great thanks for telling me this now, 6 months after it was initially exchanged. I don’t understand how he could do that.

So, this is a little awkward, but I recently moved to SD for a fresh start, and honestly, I love this city. Best place for holiday office parties?

Looking for a roommate in Miami to sign a lease with starting in January or February. Looking to sign a lease for a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom in a luxury building in Brickell, Downtown, Edgewater, or somewhere similar. I am clean, quiet, and respectful. I am a strategy and finance professional in my mid 20s (ex-McKinsey) who will be in the office 5 days a week. 

Any real estate experts in the house? Thinking of making a move to Miami from Jacksonville. Jacksonville real estate is still pretty inflated and hasn’t really come down much. Is real estate in Miami following the same pattern? Or is it expected to deflate with high interest rates?
