Can someone explain to me why my dealership is constantly emailing me to schedule an appraisal for them to buy out my lease? Has anyone done this recently? I love my car and I feel like with the way the market has been when my lease is up next year it would be more beneficial for me to buy my car out.

Currently SDR for a start up making 40k w OTE 60k. The job is okay but recently there is a lack of marketing (no marketing person) so inbound leads are down… which is essentially ruining my compensation. Only been with the company for 6mo post undergrad. Only thing I really like is that it’s remote work and I’m not micromanaged. Should I stick it out and stay till the one year mark/ move to AE? Or should I look for another SDR position?

I’m a year into my job out of undergrad, and would be up for promo from A to SA at the earliest one year from now (with 1.5 years from now being the norm for promo/up-or-out point).

I am separating from my employer and in order to be paid my severance I’ve been asked to sign an agreement. One of the clauses is non disparagement, which seems pretty boiler plate but I’m hesitant. The wording is a little aggressive and what concerns me is the nature of my termination. Could disclosing the reason for my termination be considered disparagement? I was let go from a financial firm that is failing financially and unable to pay me (or most of its bills) anymore.

How do I communicate to my boss they aren’t a great teacher? I hardly know what I’m doing (just started a few months ago) and if I ask I get a cold, short response. They also don’t spend any time to get to know our team (myself included) and I feel like that’s why they can’t get anything done on time. Everything is transactional.

Do strategists need a reel? I’m junior and looking to make a move but I don’t think any of the social content I’ve done is reel-worthy? Sort of just one off posts, etc not a ton of video.

My observation is that it is hard for consulting partners to land the quality public or private board roles everyone naturally targets. Despite there being a significant amount of exceptional talent that could be deployed, there is a big bias against consultants. Everyone wants “operators,” but I feel every board could also benefit from one current or former consulting partner. But sadly, that’s not the way the external world looks at things...

At what age did you exit Consulting? Do you think all the traveling has affected your health adversely?

We're aiming to live long enough to spend it all. If we die younger there is a substantial estate and only nieces and nephews. I have three topics that I'm requesting your thoughts on before I engage an attorney;

At what point does it not make sense to buy/ build a bigger home? My husband dislikes our house immensely (was his with former wife) and wants to move. Only owes $180k on it, we’ve been together 6 years and thus I’d rather just remodel. It’s the only thing we disagree about - moving or staying. He doesn’t want to invest one more cent in this house.
