Interested to know, did your firms gave you a credit (or wbs) to buy home office supplies? I feel like the Accenture one was pretty low...

I acutally thought the Accenture one was pretty generous 🤷‍♂️

$250 added to paycheck

like

No, it was $250 net

My friend in a boutique shop got 2200$.

Its a good package and they can mix match it how they want.

Established people would buy a solid desk and a monitor probably and a back light.

Whilst students would have to get the cheaper version of each component: chair, desk, monitor(s), keyboard, backlight etc.

Think a package is better less hassle and people can get what they want / need.

$500 tax free plus a lot of items qualify as part of our $500 well being subsidy

250 tax free and 1000 in wellness fund (can use that on a broader range of items than only office equipment though)

$400. Everyone in the firm got an ad hoc $1000 bonus recently too but that was taxed of course.

Soon I will be working on designing a shared home office for my husband and me. Any ideas for the best kind of set up for this? For context, I work from home and he does not, but he is also an attorney who needs a desk and space to be able to work from home when needed. Thoughts on two separate desks facing each other, on separate walls, along a single wall? The only thing that I think would be a little weird is if we were back to back, in case of my video calls for work

I found an open role last night with an application deadline of today. The application requires proof of bar membership. The only way I know to do that is a Certificate of Good Standing, which I can’t get in a day. Other ideas? I do happen to have a certificate from a district court I was just admitted to, although it’s over 30 days old. TIA!

PwC partners - One of my biggest takeaways is that Directors aren’t taken care of appropriately in the firm. That includes lack of focus on their mental health, their work-life balance, unreasonable metrics, comp and bonus increases, how cohort progression is managed and transparency about the PCLDE process. This is based on my 4+ yrs as a D and talking to several folks at or outside CLEX. Several of us leave due to this - just sharing this feedback to consider.

Idk who needs to be told this but, if you're trying to get a referral into a company, do NOT apply before you're referred.

The person referring you (probably) won't get a referral bonus if you do it this way.
