I’m in the same role at ML. You need to get your series 7/66 which I have. The firm will sponsor you. You’re an assistant to the FAs. The positive is that you can earn money from the advisors the downside is not many advisors pay. It took me moving around on multiple teams and to get $30k in comp. Smaller advisors don’t want to pay Morgan Stanley is the same dynamic but their base salary is higher
I had a coworker who used to work there. You’re basically the assistant for financial advisors/consultants. You help deposit checks, transfer money, open/close accounts, be the main contact for clients, help resolve any escalations. But again this is what she told me and I never worked there
Applied to this same role as well. Spoke with the recruiter and hiring manager. That was a month ago and haven't heard back. As far as licensing, They would pay sponsor, but no time requirement in passing 7/66. The registered position tends to want more experience, however I saw the post earlier.
