I had my first technical round of interview as Sr. Android developer with Tech Mahindra and It went well. How long does it take to know about the result. Also how many rounds are there? The interviewer refused to say his name nor he appeared on video in the interview. Is that the company policy? Tech Mahindra

Thank you all for your patience. I do appreciate it. It turns out having a side project while running multiple proposals is a trifle challenging. That said. I’m posting a first subset of the rawish data. In all close to 500 people took the survey, but a majority were from the Big Four. Here is the data from Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PWC. Insights to come! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1lN6JrxQfvA_MC4XFZ38G0ppQkBuxRv9mf88Y8NE2X2U/htmlview

Can you ask for feedback from HR or the hiring manager to figure out why you were not the best fit? You may not get it, but it never hurts to ask for feedback.
I wouldn't feel too bad about it. If your portfolio is strong and people are interviewing you then it means you're in the top 1% of people who get interviewed. Just realize that there are other things going on like a person is a friend of a friend so get hired over you. If you haven't already I'd say just make sure that you're interviewing with someone who is that friend of a friend.
^^^ You'll likely get BS feedback though as they'd never really be candid about it. It's very hard to give advice without knowing how you are in person and during interviews. What are some questions they ask you a lot that you think you struggle with or may not be answering satisfactorily?
It's prob the "not a weirdo" part that's throwing them off
Dammit. I keep remembering more things. Make sure you're also sending thank you notes/emails after your interviews if you're not already doing it. I've never gotten a job offer from a place I failed to send a thank you to.
You should absolutely be authentic or nothing will ever work if lying and it tends to show, hence you tripping over it trying to make it fit. What you should do instead is definitely talk about video being your favorite and why and then just try to tie it to the thing the agency you're interviewing with and the work you're interviewing for and how it relates to it. I'm even confused how video is not social when it's the number one engagement format on social media and gets shared easily/people love sharing video. The only "BS" part of what you're saying during interviews should be the fancy words you use and professional delivery and demeanor, show off your communication skills through your manner is speaking and expression, but what you're saying should still be true to you, just packaged up.
^^so, are you saying this situation calls for more weirdo?
I just wrapped up applying for 50+ positions that only resulted in a handful of in-person interviews, which themselves only resulted in one actual job offer. Hang in there, keep applying and treat every phone screen and interview you get as an opportunity to polish your interviewing technique. The more you are able to talk about specific examples and weave that into your enthusiasm for the place you're applying to, the better the interview will go. That's my recent experience anyway.
Also, write down post interview notes to help you with your next interview. This helped me identify things I could improve on for next time.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'll try to make some of those adjustments. AD1, it's funny, the one question that trips me up is "what's your favorite kind of advertising/medium to do?" And I want to say video and experiential bc it's true but if they are interviewing me for a social/digital position I feel like I have to say that and I get tripped up bc I'm a bad liar. And it's not that I don't like social/digital, I do, but I like videos and experiential more.
Yes I needed to hear that. Thank you AD1!!
