Read Case in Point, know the culture of the office you're interviewing at, have a clear 3-year goal, be friendly, polished, enthusiastic, and succinct. Just throwing stuff out there which helped me two years ago.

Good luck!!

Thanks BCG 1

Fit portion:
Focus on having good answers for the “why” questions: why BCG, why make the switch now. Understand what makes your desired office “special”. Have a view of the role you’d want to play within the company (industries to explore, ways to get involved in the office, etc). There won’t be time for more than 1-2 STAR type questions per interview

Case:
Better to be right than fast when it comes to the math. Better to create a creative, organic framework that’s somewhat wrong than to use a canned framework straight out of hour bschool textbook. Focus on having a succinct 60 second conclusion that quickly summarizes context, reco, risks, next steps.

Overall:
Don’t treat the interview like an inquisition. Be friendly and interactive with the interviewer. And also act normal. Underrated part of the interview is to weed out the freaks and awkward people who you wouldn’t want to stick in front of a client or be stuck in an airport layover with.

Personally, I find the case in point, victor cheng, etc materials to be a waste of time- there is no substitute for live practice (preferably with bcgers)- leverage your network. Good luck!

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. I recently switched job and joined another B4 firm. As part of the hiring I was promised with a sign on bonus. Now I have received the sign on bonus twice, in back to back paychecks. I know I have to somehow return the second bonus to the firm. Does anyone know how taxes work on this? As both the bonuses were tax deducted prior to deposit, when I return amount do I need to pay back the withheld taxes to the firm as well? Asking as the amount is big and don’t want to go in the IRS route. TIA.

One key selling point, as they are trying to offer is the opportunity to work one day a week to use for things like training, acquiring certifications or building applications that you are interested in.

This sounds amazing. I don't get that at my current job. So, is this too good to be true? I would like your opinion on this.
