Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

In my experience the younger interviewers care a lot more about the problem and very little about the few questions you’re supposed to ask at the end.
Upper level folks care a lot about the questions you ask and showing interest. Even in a technical interview, have your fit answers down and try to show your interest.
Oh, and saying you don’t know the answer is better than giving a wrong one because you guessed.
@OP, can you share what the first round interview was like?
So it’s actually been 2 interviews. First one was mostly non technical. Just a run through of my resume and a chance for me to learn more about the role, followed by a few data science related questions. Second was much more technical with questions around how I would solve specific types of problems. Next is the interview loop.
@OP - Really interested in entry level data science roles. Can I connect with you for tips?
