Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

I'm a first year SM at D making 250k/30%.
If you're a highly competent negotiator then maybe you can wiggle up to 300k/40%.
I will say that being an SM at D is tough. Be prepared to put in 50-70hr weeks, 60hrs a week being the average.
Good luck with your decision.
Reflecting what D2 and SM2 said. Uncle D drives everyone hard, and wants perfection.
I know a few acn SMs (3+ yrs)…they can be upward of 300, but since last year as they layoff and market seeing deceleration, no one had merit or adjustment unless it’s a promotion. But raise with promotion is small.
I currently work for a small consulting company, 250K base, 30% bonus.
Stay where you are. Don't think any of the companies you listed will match or exceed what you have right now.
If IBM can match, you should go there. You will be a partner’s personal assistant as a SM at D. SM is the worst role at B4. IBM role will be much more WLB friendly. And IBM AP role will most likely match your current comp
Not sure about Genpact.
Even if you sell enough (at IBM) the bonus won't exceed 30%
Which firm are you at now?
EYP - you can get a base up to $350k; plus 20-30% bonus
D4 a downvote button would be a legendary move for fb - they won’t though
What’s your background? What group in Deloitte or IBM?
SM at D coming as an hour external hire will be difficult and extremely cutthroat. I came as an external hire SM from a different B4 and it was brutal the first year. My base is 268k and got 92k bonus last year.
Joining any B4 firm or Accenture at the SM level is usually a mistake if you don’t have an in-built network there (especially in this environment).
Seen too many intelligent, highly competent folks let go after a year largely because they didn’t have a network going in.
What are your reasons for leaving?
Here’s an SM job at ACN. It tops out $317K. So less likely anyone would get hired at $317K as they’d want (stupid) room for growth. So maybe ACN SMs are not really making that kind of $.
ACN SM can make as low as 135k base. FWIW. Know several that make 150-160k base, LCoL
Accenture SM with 3 years and above will make 270 to 300 base plus 10 to 20 bonus and you have for top performer a grant of 30k which is tough to get but not impossible based mainly on sales.
OP - how did your interviews go, did you land?
