How much does a support advisor make at shopify?
Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

Depends what is sustainable for you. I’ve had one project at 55 hours/week. The rest have been 60-75+, with the majority hovering around 65 Depends a bit on office (South has a reputation for long hours, which is where I am).
Good luck!
Do those numbers include travel or no?
Brutal? Only in the South. Everywhere else is North America is great.
I averaged mid-50s as a C, low-60s as a PL. Travel nights per year has fluctuated from 25-90.
People are amazing, clients have high expectations but are appreciative and engaged.
And I’m averaging 5-7 exit opps in my inbox each week
Our regions are West Coast, Great Lakes, NE, South, and Canada. I think Denver is the only non-intuitive one. It’s relatively new and was ramped up by Dallas Partners.
Just joined the SEA branch and can tell you they expect a lot of independence from day one and that you’re expected to “slot in” and adjust and just get with the program. People naturally stay late every night to do work.
I think people miss the point sometimes with culture. In my experience, pressure rarely comes from long hours or repetitive but easy work. It actually is the “difficulty level” of the projects and the expectations of people you work with that makes it tough. If you knows exactly what you have to do and can do it with a couple of hours, it’s not a problem most of the time to put in those extra hours and get the work done. It’s when tasks are unclear, clients or partners are challenging that you’ve got an uphill battle.
