Can someone in the EY-Parthenon Singapore office tell me more about the difference between the role of a senior associate doing valuation in the strategy and transactions team and the generic strategy team? Depends on where the startup is
Don’t ask - let them make you an offer.

Are they offering equity + salary? If so, lots of factors to take into account. How much do you believe in the company, how much revenue are they doing, how big is series A round, what’s the vesting period for your shares, etc. Answers to those questions will help determine how much equity you should ask for in place of salary.
If equity is out of the question (usually wouldn’t be at Series A since there is risk on your end joining) and they can’t match your current salary, you could ask for a progressive increase in salary tied to sales / company performance each year.
