What’s a reasonable base for KPMG Manager role in FS Capital Markets / Asset Mgmt? 7 YOE and currently Year 1 manager at Accenture and thinking of asking for $190k

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?

I’m reviewing my resume getting ready to start my job search and have a question for recruiters, hiring managers. I’m looking for a role brand-side not agency side. Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? That feeling of knowing you worked your ass off and made sacrifices in your personal life for a promotion you were told you’d be getting at the end of the year, while receiving great feedback all year, only to be told “sorry, maybe next cycle….” 😔
