Is a Business Analyst closer in job role to a Consultant or a project Manager?
I have recently joined a service based consulting firm, with my role as a BA in Banking domain but wish to get into PM roles in the near future. I'd deeply appreciate your inputs from your career journey or any suggestions to eventually create a strong profile for PM roles in Big tech firms.

I know the job market is not that great as of now but I’ve applied to countless PM roles and have had no success. I'm exploring roles in WELLS FARGO/JP as I am looking into profiles in investment banking. Have done masters in banking & finance, & have retail banking experience of 4.5 years. hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.

The position that I am applying for is in a different team and city.

Landed a contract role at Deloitte via MBO Partners for an audit senior role. MBO is making me a W-2 employee for MBO, but I am getting paid $125/hour plus overtime. Am I missing something here or am I about to be making $5K/week (or more with OT)? Anyone have any experience with MBO or doing contract work like this?
