Is an MBA worth it? Has anyone without one ever felt passed over for promotion or a position because of it mid-later career? My agency has a benefit of about 5k a year for education and I’m not sure if I should take advantage of it. I feel like the most valuable skills come from on the job experience and I feel like taking classes after work would be a strain.

What questions should senior associates be asking to get a better assessment of partnership prospects? I have an offer for a A2 position at a elite boutique but as a lateral hire I will not be placed into their 3 year analyst rotation programme. Currently at BNY Mellon with 10 YOE, specifically in Corporate Trust working CLO/CDO’s (first job out of college). To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

I got an offer from another firm for 24lpa but they have shared the offer letter of DOJ after 2 months and asked me to negotiate my notice period or look for buyout. What should I do in this case?
