Buy a nice phone! What other thing do you use more than your phone (other than bed or computer)? My thinking is, if I use something everyday, i rather spend more to have the best or very good.
Oh yeah I agree, I don’t know what I’m being so stubborn but I think it would be a better use to use cash than points for the phone.
Buy a used (for a month or less) iPhone 11 264GB green. There are good phones available in market for $750. I can hook you up if you like.
That’s not how I would spend 87k points but you do you.
Why do you need to spent $1200? Can’t you get a used iPhone XR or iPhone 11 for much cheaper?
Which carrier do in you have? Many will offer specials on occasion. I have TMobile and I scored 2 iphone 12s just paying tax for trading in my prior year Samsungs.

If you really need an iPhone . Buy Giftcards in grocery store and buy the phone. Then use pay yourself back. Atleast valuation is higher.

Agree with D2. Use a regular card that doubles the warranty and provides 3-4 months coverage if it’s lost or stolen. Some cards, such as AMEX platinum, provide AppleCare+-like coverage (e.g., screen replacement for a small fee) for phones purchased entirely with the card.
I’m hoarding my points in hopes that someday my honeymoon will be free. Note: I’m very single and nowhere close to getting married so hopefully they don’t expire
Bird1 nailed it - every program continually devalues points, so you’re better off using it sooner.
Plus, the money you save now from using points could be actually invested in assets that grow.
Example: you spend 100,000 points on a vacay worth $1500 today; you can invest that $1500 and have $2000 in five years. Or spend $1500 now and have 100k points in five years but your $1500 vacation now gets you a lot less.

Yes that may be the worst use of CSR points. I suggest the "pay yourself back" one where you can use points for their most value
Make sure at a minimum you get 1.5 cents per point
Cash out via PYB at 1.5cpp. That’s over $1300.
Like I know this isn’t even a lot of points so am I better off just waiting to accrue more and using it for upcoming travel?
Anytime you transfer points out of the core program aligned to a card, you'll lose out
It depends what you care about. You can stay at cool places that cost $2k/night for 30k points or you can turn that into a $450 payback.
Isn’t there a promo where points equal 10% more for Apple direct purchases?
