While I only use Chase really for Hyatt (since United is worthless even in Chicago, Lifemiles and Aeroplan get you the same flights). My Amex points mostly go towards ANA RTW tickets or Avios/Flying Blue if there’s a promo.
Really just depends what kinds of points you want. It’s always good to diversify, and I’m sure you’ll get people saying “x card is better, here’s my referral link…”

Depends on how you want to use your points. All of mine go towards either United miles (since I live in a hub) or Hyatt points so Chase is preferable to Amex for me.
Imo Chase Sapphire Reserve/Preferred is better than Amex Plat, which is basically just a massive coupon book. Ultimately will depend on how you value the transfer partners though.
I just use the Chase trifecta (w/CSR) and Cap One Duo (w/Venture X).
I actually have 10 cards, but only 6 earn travel points. The rest are cash back.
- Dining 3x; any of the Chase cards or Savor One, or get 6x with Bilt on the 1st of each month
- Groceries/gas 5x (9x if quarterly category overlaps); CFF - got the 12 month 5x on groceries/gas promo when I signed up, plus the 20k points
- Travel 3x; CSR
- Streaming/internet 3x; Savor One
- Rotating categories 5x; CFF
- Rent 1x; Bilt
- Uber/Uber eats 10x; Savor One
- Lyft 10x; CSR
- Everything else 1.5x with CFU, 2x with VX, 2x with Bilt if used on the 1st of the month; depends which points I'm trying to earn
Chase/Bilt points probably go to Hyatt and Cap One points go to whichever airline makes sense at the time.
