Fee for seat selections in a J ticket? Are you kidding? Jesus Christ almighty.
JEEZ that's wild. I can't imagine paying $3K (cash value of flight), and then them still asking $90 to choose the seat...ultra-penny pinching.
Disappointing, but thanks for the thoughts!

Especially on one of KLM’s aging 777 2x2x2 layouts!
Yep, it’s becoming the norm. Unless ur a FF, u gotta pay for seat selection in Z class. I saw similar pricing on Swiss Air Z class.
It’s the latest mechanism for squeezing another $ out of the passenger.

That’s good value even with paying for seat assignment. Don’t see ~43k pt redemptions on flying blue unless you’re routing from NE US and getting a promo fare
No idea but I recall having to do so with British Airways so I’m not surprised
Yep normal for European airlines

Flying blue launched this over the summer with some modest media coverage. Some fare classes are requiring discount J to pay for seat selection + checked bags
Yes unless you have status with most airlines these days you’re paying for seats. It gets more expensive to travel by the week it seems
