I gave interview in Amazon and cleared all the rounds , then went on hold and still on hold due to hiring freeze in that departement. HR does respond and update me when reached out.
Interesting thing which happened here is iam cracking each every product based interviews now after my tough preparation for Amazon and getting higher packages than what Amazon would give. So whatever happens , happens for good. Cheers Amazon

Hi Fishes, I have received an offer from Barclays for AVP position. But the role discussed during interview was for Tech Delivery Manager whereas the offer letter mentions it as Tech Delivery Lead. Can you guys please suggest if it is the same role or should I request recruiter to get the role updated? Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Depends on company. If you have some software installed specifically for tracking then don't. But if its not there (general case), then don't use Google Chrome for personal activities because in most cases it is tracked by your organization. You can use Brave or Firefox for personal browsing. I also used my company laptop for all my interviews and I did not get any notice or warning.

I have done that zillion times and once with my company's virtual background on (by mistake).
Even after all of this, I continued to work with the same firm for 2 more years.
Nothing happens, if they really don't want you to do such things, they would block those sites.
So enjoy.

I am not sure about every firm but in my firm, things that are not allowed, are blocked.
For eg. You cannot upload anything anywhere, it won't happen. You cannot send email to external email IDs without exception request. You cannot install free extensions to IDEs - won't work.
While you can watch hotstar, prime, netflix, youtube, twich, discovery+, sonyliv, etc.
Its a big Fintech.
Oh ya, and in my previous firm, I gave interviews for startups from meeting rooms, in office from office laptop. It was pre-covid time.
Once a teammate, who came from WITCH and has been in the firm for 8 years told me that zoom calls are monitored and you should be careful of conversations. I just smiled and said, oh is it 🙂
I had attended interview on office laptop last week. Interviewer shared his screen on ms teams to show a diagram. I noticed my name was looking like this on his screen .. FirstName LastName(Cognizant)
It's not okay. It's against corporate policy.
People might have done that, but it's against compliance policy.
I think it's safe to use your personal laptop. I never used my office one for any interviews.
My personal MacBook was broken so I attended around 15 interviews from my office laptop only. It's my primary system. In previous company as well, i used the company laptop.
I don't think it's ok cuz why share ur personal stuff to your company when u know that they'll a 100% find?
I want my privacy so i don't use it and i think it's the best for us.

Yes you can. However do take care of VPN. The best way to deal is disable your VPN and use incognito.

Khudka RDP server Lelo, agar utna risky lag raha hai and connect the RDP from office system.
Use your office laptop no one bothers.
Depends if the system allows. For example: My HCL laptop didn't allow me to attend any interviews. It had some setting which blocked something unofficial.
Whereas my Tech Mahindra laptop allowed interviews.
So if it allows, then go for it. It shouldn't be a problem.
Take it on phone. I dont think you have to share screen on do anything specific where laptop is needed. Phone camera will also make you look much better than you laptop.
Use krlo, but make sure you don't upload data from laptop or send emails with attachments, this will trigger security breach. In our org, we can mention mail sent has personal data but in my previous organisation it was not allowed to even log in personal email.
Use office laptop. That's the best use of it
Kuch ni hota or else people will use this trick as early release from the company.
