I want to join Birlasoft but not sure if they will give me same profile because IT Companies after joining change projects sometimes. Any suggestions from Birlasoft or Genpact employees. You could maybe get a promotion, however this is typically at the 1 year mark instead of 6-8 months. Not impossible, but difficult. Get some good clients and this could really help. So go above and beyond and stand out and you have a shot!
From what I hear, that would be extremely difficult. NOt saying it can't be done though. If you work hard enough you can really accomplish anything so I say go for it.
Depends on how senior.
The earlier promotions are easier to get off cycle. Though 6-8 months would be exceptional.
What is exceptional performance... depends on the role.
6-8 months is still a bit too premature for a promotion, honestly, but I wouldn't say it's far from possible. If you're planning on it, make sure you let your manager know of your intention of aiming for a promotion so all your hard work doesn't go to waste. Basically, what you should be doing is making your boss' job easier for them.
Not saying impossible but would be difficult. Now if you’re in IB and you IPO a huge client, you would probably get promoted.
I think it is possible. But like what VP1 said, only in exceptional performances. While it is possible, the chances are low.
