Is it true that Gartner tries to reject candidates the first time they apply for a role, but employs them the third or fourth time they apply for the same role? If yes, what is the reason for this? What changes do they expect in the subsequent applications?

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?

I have 4.3 YOE currently and I was offered Engr II - Full Stack position in VDSI. But after doing some research it seems Engr II is usually for YOE between 2 and 4. Is this correct? Will there be a problem for me if I take up this position with my YOE?
Since I am a lateral entry, I think promotion to Engr III also would take a lot of time.

Also can you please let me know the current designation hierarchy in VDSI?

Hey i had my HR discussion with Infosys HR, they are not even ready to match my counter offer, they will release the offer tomorrow, how to renegotiate now, any tips, they are saying they can't go beyond that for the role. It used to be the case that you could never say anything in the slightest negative about your old position/employer/etc when applying for a new job. I have had a gap in my tech résumé for a bit, as I’ve had some negative experiences (typical ones for women in technology) that have come to light in recent years to the public. Since that is now the case… Is it now OK to say that I left my last position because of toxic company culture, or something of the sort? Or still a huge NO-NO?
