How does someone get good at case interview? Been watching so many interviews but feel like I'm just getting more confused?
I’m a second year associate with a split lit/transactional practice interviewing (second round) for an in house position this week. Interview is with the general counsel. Any interview tips? Wondering what questions I should make sure to ask and what skills to highlight given it’s a more entry level in house position and they know I’m coming from firm experience. Thanks in advance!
I’m applying for a PE role and have been given a take home model test where they want me to build a dynamic 3 statement model with up/down/base cases. Is there a template I can find online for this?
Hey guys! So I interviewed with McKinsey Digital: Round 1, interview 2: case + PEI. It went pretty well (at least according to me) but it has been an entire week since I’ve heard anything from them. I’m getting really anxious now but I also don’t want to show my anxiety to the recruiter which is why I haven’t sent an email to check in. Is it normal for them to take this long and should I still be hopeful for a positive response?
If you are a generalist and not technical, how do you answer in an interview when someone asks about your areas of expertise?
What am I worth in terms of TC? SDE, 6 YOE, background at a startup and 2 mid-level companies, MS degree. Assuming I'm desirable enough for interviews at a handful of good places. Not based on a previous salary, just objectively.
Hi All, I am being interviewed for a role of Business Analyst + UAT in Wealth Management Domain for CAPCO. How is CAPCO, growth opportunities, work culture. What should be the approx CTC that I should ask for? I have 7.5 years of experience and currently holding an offer of 13lpa. TIA for the insights.
https://hbr.org/2020/01/what-top-consulting-firms-gets-wrong-about-hiring thoughts? Article mentions case interviews as a poor predictor of performance.
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones? https://blog.shrm.org/blog/9-interesting-interview-questions-that-actually-reveal-a-lot-about-candidat
Has anybody interviewed with Twitter before for project management roles? Any idea what the pay is like and what to expect from their interview process?
I’ve been trying to get a human capital consulting role at Deloitte for a while and haven’t had any luck. I’m wondering if applying for Workday roles makes more sense and then trying to eventually make the change as an internal candidate? Does this happen often at Deloitte? I have almost 6 years of workday experience so I feel like my odds would be better in getting the workday role but I don’t want to end up getting stuck.
Anyone worked for or interviewed with or dealt with ACA Financial / Freedom Mortgage? (Very strange interview process and I’m getting the feeling I’m not even dealing with HR, but bots). Any experience or opinions?
MBB recruiter said I'd hear about my application (whether or not I'd get an interview) by today. haven't heard a word - what should I do? I'm thinking of sending a gentle reminder tomorrow morning, but definitely don't want to look pushy
anyone have experience working at carefirst BCBS? interviewing for an internal consultant position
Got Presurvey email post interviews @ Deloitte USI for Consultant role. What is the ETA for the next step ?
Two final round interviews in the upcoming week. Been working so hard for this for a while now. Wish me luck.
Looking for input on a career decision. Me: 9 YOE, homegrown manager who is currently doing a stop in industry. I have an offer to return to consulting (M&A). My end game is pure strategy. Do I take the offer or wait for the opportunity to interview for pure strategy? My take is it’s more difficult to lateral the more senior you are in your career.
Hey everyone! I have passed L1 and L2 interviews in Birlasoft, have HR interview tomorrow. Profile - python AWS developer Work exp - 2.5 years, Wipro Limited How much hike should I expect/ask for?
Dear people I'm interviewing, do not ask questions about my pipeline. The pipeline will be hot and cold. Regardless of where you are, it's a balance of hiring to meet demand vs. over hiring or under hiring.
I’ll be short of RSM’s billable hours goal of 1600 by around 300 hours by the end of fiscal year end. How fucked am I?
An interviewing company hasn’t offered me the job yet but is asking me for my visa documents so their counsel can take a look. I assume they want to see how much time is left before extending offer. Has anyone been in this situation yet? I’m a bit wary of sending over personal legal documents when things are still up in the air
Hey Accenture 🐠 - do you happen to know Manager salary bands and bonus %s in Accenture India?
Are there any CA family law firms looking to contract out work (legal research, drafting briefs, disclosures, forms, discovery, etc.)? I have over 6 years of experience and am well-versed in family code and case law. (My attorney is on family leave so we don't have the workload I'm used to right now, and my husband might be switching jobs with a pay cut, so it wouldn't hurt to earn some extra money.)
EXP on American. Book a ticket on Delta for the first time. Need to make a change and the hold time is over 2 hours. Seriously Delta??????
How are you liking WFH? Personally I'm so happy that I don't have to travel and slug it out
How's Edelman NY? Getting hit up for Health which I've never done. It'll entail moving from advertising to PR/earned creative as they call it, and the Health category. Didn't sound like hard sell pharma, quite a bit of branded video content. I searched on FB, sounded mostly negative culturally (employee fired during Pride month, political, creatives better watch their backs, climate denier) with a few who love it. Figured I'll ask if anything's changed, if it's even worth ... considering.
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Can someone who has been through Slalom interview phase please guide me on what to expect during an Interview with the Managing Director(MD) ? How should I prepare for this? I hear MD one is formality but I am not taking any chances. I am going for a Senior Principal - D & A in UK. I already did 2 interviews, 1 upcoming with Practice Area Lead tomorrow and MD on Friday. All tips and guidance highly appreciated. Thanks
Got a great offer at another consulting firm but worried about prospect of getting laid off after joining given current climate. Thoughts?
Do any of the MBBs consult for FAANG or top tech companies? Or do all those companies exclusively use in house strategy teams? If any MBB does, a referral would be much appreciated
Came across a familiar face on linked in... it was a partner at Deloitte that interviewed me on campus and is now a partner at a midsize firm. Why do partners switch if they already bought in?
What’s the salary range for managing director at Navigant or FTI consulting in healthcare.
What should you do when someone calls you out in front of client for not having done something yet, you message them privately that you don’t appreciate that, and then they gaslight you by saying that you’re too sensitive and it affects the working relationship?
Team member gave her three week notice. I will likely have to pick up majority of her work for the foreseeable future (which is very different from my assigned work). My company is on a hiring freeze and reduced salaries. Sooo do y’all think it hopeless to ask for some sort of raise or bonus of some kind?
What approach do you prefer to take when a client thinks the billable hours on an invoice are too high, but you think they are reasonable based on the work performed/deliverables?
