I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

I keep it real and tell people I'm excited about that I researched them. It's expected and they'll like it usually.
Exactly. It's less weird if you just say outright that it's a thing you like to do. People will be flattered that you looked them up more than anything.
If you just casually drop where they went to school without acknowledging how you know then that comes across as creepy.
It’s a modern resume. If this is an interview I’d think it’s appropriate that the interviewer took the time to do a little research on you.
Sure. I think that’s fine too
If I was on a first date I’d find it creepy. If I was interviewing someone I’d be impressed they took the time to research my work.
Fair game
Totally acceptable!
This question is a little weird tbh.
Its only weird when they find out you hooked up with their friend through mutual connections
Not weird! Shows that you researched the role and team
Agree. Be upfront
