Not necessarily looking to leave as I think what I’m doing right now is easy and looking at the future I don’t see any part of the job making me want to leave. This opportunity came out of nowhere and if it’s a significantly better career outlook I feel like I have to jump for it. The position is for the investment side.

If you have to ask this I question why you got the offer in the first place

Not much of a risk if all you’re doing is mindless work is it? Provided you leave on good terms the mindless work will still be here if you fail

Depends on the work life balance you want. My buddies in PE work 14 hours a day, 6 days a week. I just wouldn’t be able to do that. I woke a max of 40 hours a week...
If you don’t mind working those hours, I would go for it.

Yes, depending on what you prefer. Comp, exit opps, and wlb will have a better outlook than PA.

Also an indicative range of CTC I should ask for will be helpful. Currently I'm underpaid at 20.1L as I worked in the same company for 12 years.

I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. Any tips on dealing with the irrational?
