I got an offer from another company. Currently working in walmart. The main idea behind getting an offer is to ask for a salary rise. I was very much underpaid here. So I thought getting an offer will help increase my pay here in walmart by getting counter offer from them. But i am not sure if I discuss with my manager it will backfire me.Walmart

I lived north of Victory between sepulveda and the 405 for 3 years. It was a nice area. One street in the neighborhood has double sized lots. I think the Lake Balboa area is similar. The issue is the public schools. We moved to Santa Clarita before our kids entered school. I’m not sure what charter school options exit. For us it was a great first home. In North Hills stay west of the 405. Porter Ranch is nicer but I would expect more expensive.
When I lived in Van Nuys, I took Metrolink to downtown a lot. If Porter ranch and lake balboa, are the same price, I would pick Porter ranch.
I lived there for two years. It’s okay. Not the safest, the schools are slightly below average from what I remember. I moved from there two years ago. Moved to porter ranch, much better here.
Yes renovated. 5 bedroom gated community. I was renting for 3300 in lake balboa area. A three bedroom. But it was from some company that didn’t take care of the home and it was impossible to get things fixed. I lived with mold for months in the lake balboa home, it was a fight to get the company to address the issue. And my nieces were in bad schools where teachers would witness fights and not report it, someone got stabbed outside of her school, pregnant friends. All in middle school. Someone shot outside of my other nieces school in elementary. It’s important for me to have my nieces in good areas.
