100%, while people talk about tech salaries.. please let them have a look at the top PE/ Consulting salaries and the high growth career path. More than salary, it’s about the satisfaction of being involved in the larger decision making.
Well if you're not interested in engineering roles then MBA is the only option
MBA makes you more employable yes. Not everyone lands the most-sought after management consulting/IB roles. If you have a stellar profile with amazing acads, brand names to your profile, you have a fair enough chance. Otherwise, not really. In terms of pay, you can reach almost the same levels (or even better) with or without an MBA. Just that If you don’t want to be on technical roles, go for an MBA. Otherwise it doesn’t really matter IMO.
I've another question to add. Will I have a disadvantage if I do full time MBA from tier 1 colleges with 4 YOE in tech ? Disadvantage during both placements and admission?
No, Tier 1 MBA colleges respect work ex. Freshers struggle a little bit but everyone gets more than sufficient opportunities to bag awesome roles and companies.
If you could get into ISB then you are golden!
Worth it if you have less than 2 years of work ex, post that you gotta look at global MBA's.
