Is MBB hiring experienced consultants right now?

Good question. Why are you looking to switch OP?

McKinsey definitely hiring experienced professionals (I am one), various roles and tracks available depending on your background and expertise

The staffing model is absurd.

How experienced? McKinsey is probably your best bet.

I can't say I don't agree with you.

2 years post MBA industry strategy/M&A and one year strategy consulting. Up for Manager this year but would not expect that to translate.

Slim to no chance with NA Bain. Best to look at a specialist group at McKinsey or BCG.

They will def. not hire you as a manager

I wasn't expecting them to

What is the issue with the staffing model?

NY1: the only thing I'm seeing on McK's website is mostly implementation coach positions...

BCG is looking for Project Leaders! With your promotion I think you'd be qualified. P.S. I'm ex-Monitor

@BCG1, does BCG hire experienced for the consultant position? Or is it best to wait until manager / project leader? Thanks!

Yes - they do... Though I've usually seen it from industry, not from another consulting co. Worth a shot, though.

@Monitor1: check out the LinkedIn McKinsey careers page - should give you a good range. Operations practice is a heavy hirer of exp professionals as is Mck Implementation and Digital Labs

@BCG1, Thanks! I'm not in a rush to get out. I like the work, but I have been thinking about it more lately. @NY1, Thanks, I just took a look. I really have only done strategy work so I'm not sure if I want to move to ops or implementation. But who knows.

@Monitor1: other option is to just submit your application through the website - it might seem like a big black box that wouldn't get touched but they do look at everything that comes through there

Definitely get a referral. It's worth it to make your application as strong as possible.

BCG still hiring external through referrals. I have referred 4 people, all have gotten interviews, 2 got to final rounds, but no offers (or referral bonus) yet.

All of those for Consultant

Hey folks, anybody willing to refer me for consulting position at MBB, Kearney, OW, EYP, S&.

I have more than 2 years of experience in market research firm and have worked in a startup in UK and Germany.

I had passed the CV screening at Bain, LEK and S& London offices last year. I will share the SS for credibility :)

I am happy to have quick chat.

I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. I never saw myself in health but with many agencies having hiring freezes I decided to get some experience and save up some money in the meantime. Fast forward one year; I’ve added a new campaign to my website and I’m starting to apply to consumer agencies again.
Any tips to help me make the transition? Any place to avoid? Who have you noticed is hiring again? Thanks in advance :)

Hey everyone I’m a new graduate with a bs in industrial and systems engineering currently looking around for full time opportunities. One role that caught my eye is sales engineering. I wanted to ask for opinions on this career path in terms of pay and career progression. Does it have good exit opportunities? What does the career growth typically look like for this role? And if anyone with a similar education could tell me what career path you chose and why! Any advice would be much appreciated!

Had a variety of R&D related internship experience, but wanted to shift towards consulting and strategy based work after college. Ended up receiving an offer from GH in their life sciences practice. Has been an okay experience so far, but based on what I've seen here on FB, I'm getting concerned about my chances of pivoting to a more legitimate firm i.e. MBB, Big 4, etc. in the future. Thoughts?

It’s been a week and two days since I interviewed with the GC for a junior in-house role. I haven’t heard anything back yet. At this point, should I accept that I wasn’t chosen? Or am I just being impatient?

Trying so hard not to get discouraged on this job search. The last rejection was a hard one & I needed to cry about it.

Anyone know of exit opportunities into more of a consulting role from Risk Assurance / want to put in a referral 😂 currently a manager.

Is PRD work necessary to get promoted from C -> SC? I have about 120% utilization and 8th position from top right corner on my snapshots

I am looking for Support Manager/Product Support Manager role. I have 4 years of experience in technical lead and 11 years overall. Please DM me if you can refer me in your organization. Thanks.

Career Choice: Valuation Consultant vs. International Tax Associate. Pros and Cons ? Which will you prefer ? Exit opportunities?

I'm really interested in breaking into Strategy consulting, I definitely think I can float at an MBB, but don't know if I have the education record they're looking for (BA &MA Acc, 3.42 & 3.1 respectively) non-target school.

I have ~4 YoE @ PwC working in a transformational capacity (technology, data analytics, process) and really want to move into strategic growth & operations consulting.

What other firms would you recommend I apply at/general advice - have interview with ZS this week.

Is anyone a tax technician at KPMG? I'm curious to know if the position is worth it to you and if you receive the same benefits/PTO as any other associate.

Is there a suggested time to apply for a start date in September? Don't want to leave my job until then, but see openings at target firms. Also, anyone at QB, Gamma, or OW Labs open to chatting?

Hello Fishes,

I feel that from past 1 month very less hiring has been happening in the domain of Analytics and Datascience.
Any idea when would the hiring increase?

Hello! Does anyone know of any openings for diversity and inclusion drivers/promoters in India? I joined as an HR analyst at Accenture as a fresh graduate 3 months ago but this is not really the role I was looking for. I have quite a lot of experience in diversity and inclusion related themes. Any leads/suggestions/advice would be appreciated!

Anybody ever have a marketing/strategy role at a film/tv distributor or streaming service? I recently worked on a few briefs involving film/TV and loved it so much I’m thinking of reaching out to studios or network, but don’t know a lot about marketing depts there.
