Moving to a new country does bring you into contact with slightly different pathogens so getting ill more often can unfortunately be a side effect, especially working in London / UK as the lifestyle is often more sedentary than other countries.
Do you use public transport? Use hand sanitiser and consider a face mask at this time of year.
You need to wet wipe all surfaces at this time of year. (No wiping down with a fancy dry cloth).
I have friends that keep their windows closed from spring to autumn to reduce allergies. Wet wipe all surfaces. Hoover twice a week. Duvet and pillows Inside special anti dust protectors. Cleaner or husband changes bed linen so doesn’t trigger dust allergy response in wife!!
Also consider vitamin d levels. To protect against sickness.
Some houses are better than others for ventilation. If you are renting it is difficult to address. However you might consider an air con unit with a dust filter.
Omg yes. I’m from Australia and living in the uk has been a nightmare with allergies both myself and my 4 year old. Try ecozone dustmite stopper. You spray on everything once every 6mths. And I’d invest in a good air humidifier.
The winters are especially brutal… the condensation from the windows and poor ventilation causes mould and all sorts of nasties.
