That's just the price we all pay
Performance year doesn't end until the Spring. Is your utilization so far off that taking some PTO before the end of the year will make you miss your utilization goals? Did you have a bunch of time on the bench already this year? If so, that was the time for PTO.
Realistically it will hard to continue billing a client over xmas-New Years. A lot shut down then. That's six days you can use for PTO. Same thing may happen for thanksgiving for 3 more days of PTO.
There are no tips.
We should build an exchange for PTOs, utilisation, prd hours
Dafuq a1? If you're on PTO you're not billing.
No you can't
Interesting idea D3. Sounds pretty high impact.
Pretty sure PTO never counts against utilization
Yep. PTO always counts against utilization at Deloitte. So does training, and pretty much anything else that isn't client billable.
Training and unstaffed count against it, but PTO doesn't at ACN
Wait, what do you mean a1? Is there a particular hours number you have to hit (like 1800), or is it a percentage target with PTO backed out (1920 hours instead of 2080 to factor in 20 days of PTO)?
Am I the only one who has never heard the term "encash" before?
Percentage target with PTO backed out. Also I'm out of the SF office, and California requires the firm to payout unused PTO, so if it looks like that will happen, expect an email from your DTE lead and HR saying you need to take a vacation.
