It felt sad when my work bestie who was also my mentor and I were moved to different teams. Our bond just wasn’t the same after that.. it was fun when we worked as team … when our team was changed our talk & chats became dry, and she started treating me more like a colleague/ rival than a friend...

is anyone familiar with pay differentials, negotiating for a temporary raise or some other form of compensation for extra work? 3 coworkers on my team have recently resigned, and certain shifts are being expected to work at half staff until new hires can be brought on. if my workload is being doubled, i expect to be compensated, as they are paying one employee to do the work of two. any suggestions or wording on how to address this?

I work at a Financial Institution and have recently been approached about a Director role with my prior company.
