It's adorable how seriously the French and Italians take their cheese! Italy now has 'cheese bonds'?!? 😂

I mean have you ever tried it? Vastly superior to any of the pasteurized orange crap they sell here. I’d invest.

Scottish whiskey, polish vodka, French cognac, French, Spanish. Italian wines are vastly superior to their American counterparts. And Dont get me started on the small regional liqueurs ( limoncello,Armagnac)
I’d concede that craft beer is superior in the US- although German, Czech beer, Belgium bière d’abbaye and the Scandinavian craft beer scene are also insane.

If we're talking consumables, the US could probably make a case for BBQ, bourbon/whiskey, craft beer, and wine (debatable) bonds. Off the top of my head, not sure if there are other foods or drinks that the US is world renowned for.

Don’t touch my cheese!!

As the French are to cheese and wine and the Swiss to chocolate and watches, America is to movies and whiskey.

Less on the touristy side, the US really prides itself on being the shining star of capitalism. NYC is still an international icon like none other, and Silicon Valley is the promised land for high speed global entrepreneurs even 30 years later. Bridging from that, the US represents the future to the world: high tech. If you need serious hardware, computers to airplanes, there is no contest.

Plenty of good cheese being made in the US

As it’s been getting colder I’ve been dabbling in soups. This is a brie and mushroom soup paired with balsamic onion & mushroom toast. It was super tasty and really hit the spot. It can also be used in place of cream of mushroom from a can in recipes if you’re looking for a different taste.

Cavatappi in Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Tired of of the same old boring tomato marinara sauce? Try a roasted red pepper cream sauce!

Red bell peppers are roasted in the oven until sweet. It is then blended with caramelized onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, sun dried tomato paste, and cream into a silky, smooth and velvety sauce. Finish the sauce with a knob of butter and coat your pasta. Cavatappi works well here. Don’t forget to shave a little Pecorino Romano

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
