Just go outside - that under the desk treadmill sounds like youll be stuck in you office 24/7
Ah yes depends on where we are situated. If you havent even time for 30min perhaps its time to discuss WLB with your boss
I’ve been looking too but am nervous to pull the trigger and pick one! It seems like it would be a really good investment even for days where it’s a hard deadline or meeting and I can’t get away during the hours it’s cool enough to walk outdoors.
Exactly!
I would also be interested if anyone has any experience to share.
I was in the same boat and finally bought one! I have a Urevo 2 in 1 treadmill - bought it at Walmart for $350 after looking at some YouTube reviews. I’ve only had it for two days and I get motion sickness when I use it while working but it’s been good to have regardless bc like someone said above, it’s like 100 degrees every day where I live and there’s a constant heat advisory. I hope the motion sickness goes away, I really want to like the treadmill
My last boss had an under desk pedal thing. It was a complete waste. It needed too much clearance under the desk to be usable, the user would just bang their knees on the desk and not be able to complete a rotation.
I imagine a treadmill would be the same. I mean, raise your chair a bit and just swing your feet, you'll probably get the same effect as using a sitting treadmill. The effort and benefit comes from maintaining balance and forward propulsion under your own powet. Just sitting and letting your feet pass over a moving belt wont get you any valuable impact.
Fair enough. I’m not an early riser, and more so I’m interested in this for antsy-ness combined with walking as mild exercise before I can get to the gym in the evening
