Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
Any suggestions for anger management books?

Wow, you sound entitled
Thank your lucky stars. You could be a single mom working hourly wages and get fired because you had to stay home with a sick child and don't get PTO.
It's called a trade-off. Want a 'safe' 9-5? That doesn't (usually) come with varied projects and high pay. Want to jet-set the country and work on interesting projects while making a lot of money? You'll have to put in long hours and prove yourself every day.
Don't a lot of consulting projects lead to laying people off in industry? Mine have/will.
You're crazy if you think industry makes you safe. I have seen more layoffs than I can count from clients and when I was in industry.
Haha what do you mean work hard to get into consulting? I spent 5 years partying at a state school and talked my way in with a 2.5. Chill bro, it's just the nature of the industry.
I agree that this can come of as petty, but not sure entitled is the right word for it.
"Entitled" was the right word.
Industry layoffs are way more ruthless. OP needs to stop crying. You made a choice.
@EY1 is right. We're karmically far in the hole. In my vertical, we do a lot of projects that ship jobs to offshore or just eliminate them outright
Lots of my friends from industry are getting laid off or worse (rebadged to Cognizant).
State school = less entitled and better college football 🙌🏻
