It’s my absolute dream to move to Colorado and I’m really worried about the low job mobility right now. How is the job market out there for packaging designers? I’m 5 years out of school and got promoted to a senior level within that time, and have a strong portfolio, but this would be my first time applying for other design jobs as a professional.

I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.

Are there any remote opportunities to break into L&D? I have 20 years experience in Business Development, CRM, Operations Development, Onboarding, Staff Development, Proprietary Software administrator & trainer. Passionate about learning and mentoring others but lack familiarity with popular LMS platforms.

Has any creative here ever tried to make the leap to leave advertising and be a film maker, photographer, illustrator, etc.?? I’m so tired of ad agencies and how draining the “creative” can be. Happiness is more important than a nice paycheck for me. Any inspiration success stories advice would be so helpful right now...

Been welding for my company for 13+ yrs and I think it’s time for a change. The culture has completely changed and became toxic. My dream is to go independent do mobile/rig welding and repair then potentially have my own shop/store front. I have all the equipment and truck setup to start but don’t know where or how. I am certified to pipeline (API 1104) code in dual processes (GMAW, SMAW) as well as an AWS CWI and a CPWI. Any advice/input is greatly appreciated!!

Is there such place as non toxic ID firm? Or does any of ID attys like what they do? I moved from general practice to an ID firm six months ago. Biggest mistake of my life. I am trying hard not to just quit and walk away as I’m battling head cold but still have to bill bill bill and get criticized for not billing right and etc and cases being piled up - while everyone is looking forward to the long weekend. Since then I have accepted a job at a outpatient oncology clinic, starting in Jan at a renowned hosp.
