Have new analyst on the team with an MBA and project experience. After working with them for 2 months it’s apparent that there are 0 consulting skills (excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and they freeze up even on internal calls. They are young and coachable, and I offered to put time into that. However at a company event they made no effort to get to know the team and chose to stick to their familiar colleagues in their home office. I’d like to ask for a new resource but interested in feedback.

Help needed: I have an excel file with thousands of lines with the coordinations of the starting and destination points, and I would need a proxy of the distance in km. Is there any tool available to do it? Thanks!

Why are the firms like UBS that are building internal consulting practices putting them in the back office (and paying accordingly)? If you're replacing external consultants who are being paid $2k/day, you have plenty of cushion to at least pay the salaries we would get externally, if not more.
