Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?
Hi.
A curious case regarding interview at Amazon.
There is a particular opening to which I did not apply.
Got an email saying they want to interview me, with slot options.
I selected slot options and then I got an email for an interview with one of their employees.
Email is from hire_the_best@email.amazon.com
Have tried reaching out to the mentioned employee as well on LinkedIn to check if it is genuine - but haven't received any response.
Have observed this to be a fake incidence in the past.
What say?

I am in the same boat as you. I had applied to literally hundreds of postings with no responses. I took my resume and ran it through ChatGPT and it had some suggestions to improve it. I made those changes and within a week I had two interviews. Didn't get the job but at least I was getting noticed. You might try that. Anyway, I'm close enough to retirement that I'm just doing gig work to cover my health insurance expenses until I can go on Medicare. Good luck!
Send me your book. Happy to review and provide feedback.
I hear it’s really tough out there rn.
Multiply your applications by 20. That’s me!
You are soooo...not alone. Don't let them see you sweat. Don't give up. But. understand that clients care less and less about quality. -- Until it hits them in their respective keesters anyway. Not easy, but reinvent yourself. Offer a new service if possible, or, if you can build a team and a war chest - start your own business. More money to be made out there than just doing AD gigs.

Do you get interviews? I’ve applied to the same amount of jobs, had a few interviews. But i have to admit all of my interviews come through applying with a recruiter. Only had one interview when applying on linkedin
Man, i have 10 years of experience, and applying to senior designer jobs that sometimes require 2-4 years makes me feel so old 😭 Like, what are the chances they’re gonna hire this grandma lol, especially when they have a wide salary range and i’m targetting a higher end
If you’re interested in smaller shops, try walking through their front door. You may not get to talk with anyone, however, many times someone will give you some time just for the effort.
If you’re not getting any interviews with that many applications, it’s probably your resume.
Unemployed over a year with more than 1,000 applications. Zero offers. The creative job market is way overcrowded because everyone and their brother wants to be some kind of writer, designer, social media coordinator or content creator thanks to influencer culture.
Unless you’re the CEO’s kid or are a LinkedIn influencer with a minimum of 1 million followers, you aren’t getting hired. That’s been my experience.
I have been doing the same thing and getting the same results. I just got the app CareerFlow and I've only done 2 applications in it but still no luck. I've been a designer for 28 years and very up to date but having the same luck. It's not you. I recently was told by a social worker that it's happening to her friends who are in their 20's and 30's. At first I thought it was my age. Best of luck!
Yep! I literally have over 200 applications in the last 6 months, 1 interview and countless rejections but mostly no response. I'm exhausted, defeated, frustrated. I have agency experience, I can literally do everything, yet somehow I can't even get interviews. The market is saturated, the economy is crap, and hiring managers want you to check every single box, so the competition is unreal. So basically if you have a job, stay positive and make the most if the situation you're in because unless things turn around soon, the economy isn't changing in the next 6 months.
On the same boat unfortunately. Getting hired right now seems like a luxury. Maybe try recruiters and get one to personally work with you.
The exact same thing has happened to me. I quit my job in early 2023 and since then have not been able to find anything in the marketing field again. Entry level requirements, pay, and competition is currently insane. I urge to find something soon
I have been going through the same difficulty since last year. This job market is insane
